Smith Walbridge hosts a variety of marching band related clinics serving high school students, undergraduate collegiate students, and directors. Founded in 1949, Smith Walbridge was the first marching band leadership camp of its kind.
Our staff features instructors from the top collegiate, DCI, and WGI programs from around the country. Your students learn from those who have created outstanding performances and know how to achieve high standards.
No matter what skill level a student has, we meet them where they are at and take them to the next level. Each clinic has various levels of curriculum to help students build the fundamentals or challenge their ability.
We strive to develop student leaders that can help push their program to the next level when they return home. Our program develops leadership skills to help students communicate and positively affect their peers.
Founded in 1949, Smith Walbridge was the first camp of its kind to host a variety of marching band related clinics serving high school, undergraduate collegiate, and directors. Our world-class staff creates a high energy and positive environment that focuses on concepts for students and directors to take home, apply or adapt to their own programs. The foundation of our philosophy is our motto,
System + Spirit = Success.
“I have been sending drum majors to Smith Walbridge Clinics for over ten years as a director in two communities in Illinois. There is no better place that can equip your students with leadership skills, pride and confidence, marching and conducting fundamentals, and an adaptive servant-leader philosophy than SWC!”
