Student Conductor Clinic

Elliott Lentz serves as Director of Orchestras at North Central High School in addition to being Artistic Director & Conductor for the Circle City Orchestra, both in Indianapolis, IN. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Ball State University where he studied trumpet with Professor Paul Everett, conducting with Dr. Thomas Caneva, and served as Drum Major for the Pride of Mid-America Marching Band for 3 years. As a versatile conductor, Lentz has been successful in both the wind band and orchestral worlds where his ensembles have earned numerous Gold ratings and “With Distinction” Honors while appearing at multiple ISSMA State Concert Orchestra & Marching Band Finals. Additional experience has included conducting live stage productions of Mamma Mia! and The Little Mermaid and serving as guest conductor for the IBA All-District and All-Region Honor Bands. In January of 2023 he will be a Session Presenter at IMEA State Conference in Ft. Wayne and will conduct the North Central Chamber Orchestra in their inaugural appearance at the event. Elliott was Drum Major at Northwood High School in Nappanee, IN for 2 years, served on the Instructional Staff for the SWC Drum Major Clinics for 6 years, and earned his 1st Class in Corps Style.
