Dr. Beth Shackelford
Dr. Beth Shackelford has served as a clinician and director for Smith-Walbridge Clinics since 1994.
Beth is the Director of Business and Operations at O’Fallon Township High School District #203 in O’Fallon, IL. She also serves as the district's Activities Director, providing leadership for the extra-curricular program. Beth was recently awarded the Illinois Directors of Student Activities Outstanding Activity Director Award for making exemplary and consistent contributions to the development and implementation of student activities programs.
While at O’Fallon, she has served as the music department chairperson, assistant band director, and head choral director. Beth was also an adjunct professor at McKendree University where she created and directed their first vocal jazz ensemble and instructed undergraduate music education courses. She continues to clinic and adjudicate for IMEA, IHSA, and IGSMA activities. In addition, Beth is a member of the Illinois Principals Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Golden Key International Honor Society, Mu Phi Epsilon Music Fraternity, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, and serves as the Chi Omega Area Recruitment Information Chairperson.
Beth received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music Education from the University of Illinois, where she served as Drum Major of the Marching Illini. She completed a Masters degree in Educational Administration from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and earned a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University.
