NEW WORKSHOP TO BE INTRODUCED DURING OUR 2008 SEASON
Smith Walbridge will be introducing a new CONDUCTING WORKSHOP to be held July 11-13, 2008. The head clinician will be Dr. Milton Allen, director of bands at Eastern Illinois University. This workshop is geared for band directors, drum majors, student conductors and college music majors. THIS IS NOT A DRUM MAJOR CONDUCTING PROGRAM. The content includes an accelerated review of formal conducting basics, then will move onto advanced conducting techniques, non-verbal communication and developing expressive gestures.
